Big Fred's Bytes

Big Fred's Bytes - March 6, 2020

NEAL, PASTOR FRED HeadshotHarvest has been very active recently and experiencing a good response to our Why Harvest, Walk with God, Love one another, and Seek the Lost classes.  This effort includes all preparation for church membership within the first three modules but I want to note that it is not limited to that nor should only those seeking church membership attend.  This is a great place to learn more about Harvest, God, and how to interact within our church family.  Your Campus Pastor is your point of contact for further questions.

We have been praying for all those impacted by the tornadoes in Tennesse a few days ago.  We are working to partner with Samaritan's Purse Disaster Relief ministry to send a team into the communities that were hardest hit and hope to learn more about that in the next day or two.  If you are willing to consider going, mark your connect card this weekend and we will share more information as soon as we have it.  Jack Bowser plans to head up an effort to leave at the end of next week if all works out.

Don't forget, we need your thoughts.  There are only a few days remaining to complete the survey we emailed out at the beginning of this week.  Your information will help Harvest Leaders make the best decisions related to our NEXT Initiative and our building plans.  Here is another link to the survey if you have not completed it yet.  All adults over 18 yoa are requested to share your thoughts.

Caring for our facilities has many facets and during cold and flu season, our efforts to clean and sanitize our facilities always ramp up.  We strive to present an environment that is not only comfortable but clean and as germ free as possible.  We have standing protocols for diligent cleaning and increase our vigilance as appropriate throughout flu season.  We are continuing to monitor and respond as the corona virus has been progressively spreading over the last two months.  I will be sending out a special announcement later today related to our efforts in that area.  I just want you to know that we take cleaning our facilities very seriously and will do everything we can to have our facilities ready providing a safe worship and meeting environment.

We are still seeking people willing to serve within our media and tech team efforts at all campuses.  Teenagers that are willing to commit to developing their skills and serving in a regular rotation are especially needed.  Share a note on your connect card if you are willing to discuss your participation.

Easter is just around the corner and this is a great time to start inviting people to join you for a service if they do not have a regular church to worship in.  We will be providing invite cards at the welcome area in each campus that will assist you in that effort.

All of our public prayer requests are accessible under the "Need Help" tab on our website.  We ask that you continue to lift up those prayer request during your personal prayer time.  You can share your prayer request with the church via our weekly connect card.  There is a private Pastors Only block to mark for more sensitive matters.   Your prayers for wisdom guided by the Holy Spirit for your church leaders are always a blessing.  Even more now as we sort through some very large decisions related to preparing our church for the generations that follow are requested.
