Big Fred's Bytes - Thanksgiving 2016

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family from all the leaders at Harvest Community Church. We pray that your holiday will be a time for fellowship with your family and friends and that you might take the opportunity to give glory to God for His grace upon our lives. Through Christ alone, we can truly rejoice with Him forever.

Our turkey dinner outreach efforts in Parker and Natrona Heights were enjoyable and productive in building many new friendships and blessing hundreds of people with great food. We look forward to welcoming our new friends into our weekend worship services in the weeks to come. Here is a link to our You Tube video capturing many of our folks in action at the Natrona Heights Wal-Mart last Saturday. Thanksgiving Outreach 2016 Thanks to all of you that helped make this a success!

So, our turkey is yet to cook but the plans for Christmas around Harvest have been baking for a while now. Be sure to check our weekly bulletin for all the details. There will be lots of opportunity you to invite your family and friends to join your church as we celebrate the birth of Jesus has brought propitiation for the sins of all of those that believe. While we have many opportunities, a special note regarding the Christmas program (if you will) at the Kittanning Campus has been moved into the auditorium at the Armstrong Central High School to seat more for the 1-time presentation called a “Night of Hope”. The music will be presented by our Worship Team with a few skits included. Saturday, December 3rd starting at 7pm.

Other opportunities include Breakfast with Santa in Freeport, Bell Ringing to support the Salvation Army around the area, Totes for Teens at Kittanning, Christmas Caroling and Christmas Variety Show at PVC… We should have something for everybody during the month. Check our bulletin for the dates and times of the Candlelight – Christmas Services at all Campus. PS – CRAVE NYE Party on December 31st is right around the corner.

Pastor Kevin Giddings and Andy Shaffer spent two weeks in the “bush country” of Papa New Guinea recently and we have some awesome stories to share with you soon regarding the work of our two missionary couples there. AND some not so cool, (Andy’s flight got cancelled at the last minute [which I guess just happens when you’re in the jungle] keeping him in transit for several days longer than expected. Andy will now, not be home now until Friday.) His wife Christy and son Cole will be eating Thanksgiving without Andy this year. Our prayers are that the new flight schedule will go off without a hitch.

Congrats to Chris & Monica Clinch as they are now expecting another child. Whew… their new blessing is expected in about 7+ months just in time for their furlough this summer. And - Nate, Tabitha, and children are due home for their first furlough in a couple weeks. You can look forward to their visit to all our campuses in the next couple months. Things are also ramping up for Isaac and Danielle John as they are coming down the home stretch for their launch to India around midyear, 2017. So much to give praise and glory to God for with our 10:16 Team. Please keep them all in your prayers.
