Stephen Ministries
A Stephen Minister is:
A follower of Christ who comes alongside a hurting person.
A man or woman carefully selected and trained to serve.
A caring person who listens, prays, supports, and encourages.
A person who is willing to meet about one hour per week as long as needed.
"Bear one another's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." Galatians 6:2
Ministering to those who are experiencing:
Loss of a loved one
Illness, hospitalization, chronic or terminal illness
Accident or disaster
Spiritual crises
Birth or adoption; marriage or infertility
Aging or loss of independence
Incarceration
Divorce or seperation
Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ Matthew 25:37-40
