Big Fred's Bytes - Sept. 8th Edition

It is a very busy time around Harvest. I encourage you to take a look at our ministry opportunities and look to build relationship with our brothers and sisters in Christ. This builds strength in our own ability to bring biblical wisdom into daily situations.

Thank you to all who hosted our visiting students last weekend. I know that so many of you are packed full of great testimonies from your time with them. If you get the chance to share a little of your experience at your community group, I know they will rejoice with you. We invited Pine Creek Church and Sloan Hill Church to host students this past weekend, and they connected students to their congregations too. We will be sending a team into the Oakland area of Pittsburgh on October 2nd to share a meal with many of the same students. If you have not participated to this point in connecting with the students, this is the perfect time. Jackie Adams will be arranging the details.

PVC invites everyone to bring a snack and watch the movie RIO on the big screen this Friday at 7pm. You will enjoy the movie and the family time. For those who have not attended an event at PVC as of yet, what a chance to do so!

We have many special opportunities coming for you on Sundays in the next couple months that I think will bless you all. I won’t be able to go into all the details right now, but that starts this Sunday with our local emergency responders and a call to a month long prayer emphasis for the Muslim World (Sept. 11th through Oct. 9th) . Be sure to attend Sunday services when you are able in order to receive the most from these opportunities.

Many of you have already signed up to help with the remodeling at the Kittanning Campus. Louis Rondinelli will be leading this effort and will be in touch on the details of how you might help. It starts in just a few days – September 13th. “So, please pardon our dust” – and know that the church will be fully functional each Sunday.

While thinking about remodeling, Pastor Fred is going to be leading a work project at Seneca Hills Camp on September 30th / October 1st. It will be an opportunity to help remodel one of the buildings at the camp and have some fun at the same time. We are looking for people of any/all skills to participate. $30 will cover your food and overnight lodging while helping to prepare their facility for many more years of ministry. Contact us if you and/or your family can make it. (6 pm Friday to 6 pm Saturday – even part of Saturday is fine / tools welcome)
