Good day to all,

Last week, several of us from Harvest attended a church planting conference in Philadelphia sponsored by Sovereign Grace Ministries and Acts 29 Network. We were so blessed to have participated in such a valuable training time to strengthen our church planting efforts. Being with a large group of men and women that love God and look forward to increasing the health and size of Gods church was very powerful. I look forward to what God has in store for our church.

We currently have over one hundred men registered to attend the Men’s retreat at Seneca Hills Bible Camp from April 15th to the 17th in Franklin Pa. I trust that you will keep our time together in your prayers for the Holy Spirit to ignite a fire in the hearts of your men to bring themselves and your families closer to living completely for Christ. For those heading to Seneca Hills, be sure you pick up your information packet this weekend at the Information Desk. It contains all the details you will need when preparing for our time at camp.

Easter services at Harvest this year will start on Friday April 22nd @ 7 pm with our Good Friday service including communion. PVC will be traveling into the Kittanning Campus for this service. On Saturday April 23rd, we will hold an Easter egg hunt outreach at the Karns City High School football field at 10 am. We have added an additional service to our normal weekend schedule too. Saturday night at 6:30 pm (Kittanning), we will offer a complete Sunday worship service. Running at the same time in the activity room will be an Easter Bible School (EBS) for the children. They will have a lot of fun while celebrating Christ’s resurrection.

Easter is a great time to invite you family and friends who do not regularly take the time to attend church services.

On May 5th, we would like to commit ourselves to participation in the National Day of Prayer. This is simply a day when an “extra” focus is placed on prayer. We encourage you to do this every day but would like May 5th to be a day that we set aside some dedicated time to pray for many local, national, and international issues. I will share some additional information soon, but please keep this date in mind.

Our efforts to call a Student Ministry Pastor are progressing well. A team of Deacons and Elders are reviewing over one hundred resumes that we have received. We are very excited as we search through a group of so many talented men for the one God is calling onto our staff. We ask for your continued prayer support for this process.

We have some special needs that you may be in a position to help with. We have a single mother that is in need of an inexpensive and dependable vehicle. If you can help, email Pastor Kevin for more info at kevingiddings@harvestpa.org.

We are continuing to support Joe and Shelly Keys’ family as they have needed to travel to Pittsburgh daily to Children’s Hospital to care for their newborn son, Josiah. Meals and other helpful efforts can be coordinated through Pastor Rodney. You can contact Pastor Rodney at Rodneymiller@harvestpa.org.

Life Choices will hold their annual Walk for Life on May 1st and more information can be obtained by visiting their table in the outer sanctuary of the church on Sunday.

On Sunday May 22nd, there will be a church picnic lunch after second service at the Kittanning Campus. This will be a special time to fellowship and meet new friends. Mark this date on your calendar and look for more information in coming weeks. We will also have special information sessions for you to learn more about Harvest and some ongoing ministry opportunities. It should be a lot of fun.
