In October, 1998, Harvest Community Church was founded as a nondenominational, independent church in Kittanning, PA. We are a Community Church with a World Wide Vision.
Although we are in relationship with other independent churches, we are not governed by denominational structure. We select our own leaders who direct the affairs of the church under the leadership of the Holy Spirit. The Bible is our only rule of faith and practice. We desire to follow the Great Commission and fulfill the Great Commandment, bringing love to one another and the joy of knowing Christ to other people.
Harvest Community Church is Biblical in content, authentic in nature, gracious in attitude, generous in spirit, evangelistic in heart, relevant in approach, intentional in design, and visionary in outlook. Our philosophy is to INVEST AND INVITE. We invest in the lives of unbelievers and invite them to hear the Gospel message in a culturally relevant environment where they will be appreciated and accepted.
The MISSION of Harvest Community Church is to reach out and help others reach an understanding of God’s purpose for their lives.
Our VISION is: to develop Christian leaders who continue to develop ministries that develop disciples of Jesus Christ to meet the developing needs of the Community and of the World.
Our PRAYER is that God would: (1) bless us in order that we could be a blessing to others, (2)increase and expand our borders, (3) place His hand upon us, and (4) keep us from evil.
